Cherokee Youth Lacrosse (CYL)
The mission of Cherokee Youth Lacrosse is to provide a safe and fun learning environment for recreational players of all abilities that helps develop athletic skills, build character and teach sportsmanship.
Cherokee Youth Lacrosse (CYL) is a recreational youth lacrosse league for players in Cherokee County. CYL seasons take place in the Fall and Spring for participants K – 8th grade. Our focus is on development of lacrosse fundamentals, teamwork, and fun. Come experience the fastest sport on two feet!
We are always in search of volunteer coaches. If you are interested in being a volunteer coach, you will need to register through our website as well. Please see below resource section that will help you with more information about our league. Our League Handbook has a lot of information about how our league is setup and run throughout the season.
Fall 2020 Season Information
Registration: June 22–August 9
Participants are to register for lacrosse in accordance with the high school district in which he/she lives.
First Week of Practice: August 17
Season: September 12, 2020 - October 31, 2020
Home Park: JJ Biello Riverside Athletic Complex is considered the home park for Lacrosse. Home games may be held at alternate locations due to scheduling needs.
Number Of Games: The season will consist of eight regular season games (four home and four away games) and regular practice sessions.

CYL partners with the Metro Atlanta Youth Lacrosse Association (MAYLA) to handle game scheduling and rules. Click here for more information about MAYLA.
Players 8U and above, and all coaches, are required to have a US Lacrosse Membership to participate in CYL. Membership information, along with player and coaching information, can be found at US Lacrosse.
