Our comprehensive system includes major destinations like Cherokee Veterans Park (featuring The Buzz Recreation Center with a gym, rock wall, and event space) and the Cherokee County Aquatic Center (with both indoor and seasonal outdoor pool). Thanks to the generosity of our community, donations for Hugs in a Blanket filled three vans packed to the ceiling, with 1,064 blankets and socks collected, while our holiday programs spread cheer through 79 Santa’s Calling You and 97 Letters from Santa mailed to local children.

How do I register for classes?

Registration can be done through the OTTO app or by visiting our recreation centers.

How do I find out if there is open gym time?

To find out if there is open gym time, please call our office beforehand at 770-924-7768 for The WREC or 770-501-8002 for the Buzz or check our calendar.

Hours vary based on gym availability.

How do I reserve a pavilion?

To rent a pavilion, please call our office at 770-924-7768 to check availability and to reserve over the phone. You will then have a week to come in to pay for the pavilion and sign the lease agreement.

Are dogs allowed at the parks?

Yes, dogs are allowed at county parks as long as they are on a 6-foot leash but they are not allowed on the athletic fields. Pawtriots Park is an off-leash dog area at Patriots Park with areas for small and large dogs.

What youth sports programs do you offer?

We offer youth basketball, lacrosse, softball, flag football, swim, and volleyball. Find all the information on our youth sports programs as well as other youth associations online.
